The camel festival
2005 was celebrated In Bikaner for the dated Jan 23/24/25/05 ( For
three days) Site coordinator Mr. Kamal Saxena had personally witnessed
the fair following is the report of all the three days.
The report of the first day follows here. The festival got first day
officially started by 10.00 a.m. from the fort school, which was once
the first college of Bikaner (The Dungar College, during the British
Raj when this city had been a State).The mayor of city Mr. Akhilesh
Pratap Singh
had
inaugurated the festival by showing green flag to start the
procession.
Thus about One
kilometer long procession got
started. The mayor himself walked on the front of the relli. First of
all Mangla Ram Bhil, of Anup Garh & his crew members playing beg
piper (Masak) Then school girls were walking in their colourful
dresses holding
MANGAL KALASH(A clay vessel which had coconut in it)
The relli crossed the hole market then it reached to the Dr. Karni
Singh stadium of Bikaner. Where Different events took place
following is the reference of the hole of the events.
By 1.15 p.m. Police commissioner Mr. M.M. Atrey & District magistrate
Mr. R.K. Jain & district collector mr. Alok had formally inaugurated
the festivity. Our site coordinator being visiting live festivities of
RTDC from last to decades and he often goes to see such events to the
nearby cities like Puskar,
Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer etc. He says
Bikaner Festival is being organised for more than one decade and this
particular 2005 was one of the best organised festivity in the history
of RTDC. The following activities proceeded.
